A macabre church-turned-museum, a mountain jutting against Arizona skies, a ghost town, tumbleweeds and cacti, and a legend create the perfect place for a story told through compelling images — a story you can create as part of this class.

Rumored to be the site of Jacob Waltz’s Lost Dutchman Gold Mine, this eerie landscape is the perfect place to capture a haunting, dreamlike image with your viewfinder!

This class actually includes several venues. Activities nearby include (in order of location west to east along the Apache Trail): Superstition Mountain Museum (admission $5)http://superstitionmountainmuseum.org/, Lost Dutchman State Park (admission $7/carload) http://azstateparks.com/parks/lodu/index.html, and Goldfield Ghost Town http://www.goldfieldghosttown.com/. You will be responsible for any and all admission costs.

DPA WILL ARRANGE CARPOOLING AS A CONVENIENCE FOR THIS CLASS.

Your instructor will teach you how to create compelling images using a series of tips and techniques she uses everyday as an accomplished photographer.

The haunted and forbidden-looking landscape, the mountains looming above desert plants and eroded-looking buildings, and your instructor will work together to encourage you and help you to formulate incredible, powerful images.

Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number.  It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering.  If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at [email protected].
