From the “Shout Out” Signage in the front of the vintage building, to the environmental portraits of vendors on the ground floor of the interior as well as closeups and abstractions of their produce for sale, North Park is a photo op in every way. Look for composition techniques like leading lines along the rafters of the ceiling and aisles of the commerce area along with old-world themes like antique scales and cash registers. Meet your instructor on the second floor in the dining area and you can begin the exercise of composing powerful images by working on bird’s eye angles, capturing the hustle and bustle of the shoppers below.
