If you take the Metro North from Grand Central Station, $30 round trip, DPA staff will collect you at the Beacon station and drive you around for the 6 hours of the event. The day will start with a sit down lecture on making great photographs in the Hudson Valley followed by a demonstration in Shutter Speed Control at  a nearby Waterfall , capturing local historic charm along the way.

After lunch at the Digital Photo Academy headquarters, your instructor will take you to one of the hidden gems of the community, so you can come away with a spectacular land or water scape scenes. In snow or no snow the trip is well worth it when considering the beauty of the setting.

After lunch you will be driven to an access point where noted artists from the Hudson River School of Painters stood some 130 years ago. Our Photo Instructors have been making photographs year round throughout the Hudson Valley for  years.  Snow or not, there are close up details and panoramic vistas to enjoy and capture with your camera.
