Hudson Valley 6 hour Photo Workshop–$99

10AM to 4PM

Whether a 20 minute car ride near the Beacon/Newburgh community or 90 minutes along the scenic Hudson on the Metro North train from Grand Central, NYC, the photo workshops in Beacon, Newburgh and surrounding areas are an unforgettable photo op no matter what the season, rain, snow, fall, spring and summer. So Digital Photo Academy has launched the 6 hour Saturday workshops and the 6 hour Sunday photo workshops in the lower Hudson Valley, beginning on Saturday, January 30th and Sunday, January 31st, Saturday, February 20th, Sunday, February 21st and finally,  Saturday, March 26th and Sunday, March 27th. To be clear, there will be 16 separate Saturday or Sunday groups of a maximum of 10 attendees who can participate in one of the Saturdays or Sundays, from Saturday, January 30th through Sunday, March 27th.

If you take the Metro North from Grand Central Station, $30 round trip, DPA staff will collect you at the Beacon station and drive you around for the 6 hours of the event. The day will start with a lesson in Shutter Speed Control at the Beacon Waterfall on East Main Street, capturing local historic charm along the way.

After lunch at the Digital Photo Academy headquarters, renown author and photographer, Greg Miller will take you to one of the hidden gems of the community, so you can come away with a spectacular land or sea scape scenes. In snow the trip is well worth it when considering the beauty of the setting.

But even in the absence of snow, Greg knows where to find surefire success for magnificent imagery. Miller has been making photographs year round throughout the Hudson Valley for 20 years. There is not a spot along the Hudson River or in the interior of either side of the Hudson that Greg has not traversed, during every season and time of day.

Snow or not, there are close up details and panoramic vistas to enjoy and capture with your camera.

From the last weekend in January, Saturday the 30th and Sunday the 31st,  a limited group of 10 attendees, first come first serve will be invited to join this photo excursion with an additional weekend in February, the 20th and 21st then again on Saturday, March 26th and Sunday, March 27th.Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231.
