Greenwich Village
Greenwich Village has been world renown as an exciting and picturesque destination for centuries and there are photos to prove it from the old masters like Alfred Steiglitz, Bernice Abbott and many more. Join them on this photo workshop that begins just underneath the Washington Square Arch at the base of Fifth Ave. on the north side of the park. Portraits will dominate the activity, not only in the form of street photography to capture the whimsical dog walkers, street performers and Sunday strollers but also of yourselves and the others attending the workshop. Your Digital Photo Academy instructor will provide easy to learn tips and techniques to make your final image more flattering, using the proper angles and backdrop elements as well. There are also smart ways to help people posing together feel relaxed with themselves and each other. You will have fun on this shoot and learn quite a bit about portraiture.
And because lighting is extremely important when making portraits, the session will including making photographs in the interior of The First Presbyterian Church just a couple of blocks up from the Arch.
Meet your instructor just under the Arch at Washington Square North and Fifth Ave.
