CN Building and Rogers Center

CLICK HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LEARN ABOUT PRIVATE CLASSES ARRANGED AROUND YOUR SCHEDULE.

One of Toronto’s most famous landmarks, the CN building rises above the city. The Rogers Center is similarly famous. Combine the two and the neighborhood is a perfect setting for an urban photoshoot.

In this class, you will learn many skills, tips, and techniques that will improve your photography. In the above photo, there is minimal natural light. Yet, the image uses the lack of light to dramatize the streetlights and the lights on the famous buildings.

Low light also provided the opportunity to experiment with aperture, as in the photo above. You will learn both the most basic mechanics and the aesthetics of those mechanics during the class, though the focus will be compositional strategies.

Another opportunity for a great shot comes with the traffic — both of cars and people — that fills the streets. Your instructor will demonstrate panning, which allows you to capture a moving subject with minimal blurring of that subject, and the best way to approach a passer-by for a portrait.

Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number.  It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering.  If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at DPAbooking@digitalphotoacademy.com or Richard@digitalphotoacademy.com.
