Chinatown, Los Angeles
Tired of bustling downtown LA? Want to photograph something different and exciting without leaving town and exceeding your budget? Then join your Digital Photo Academy instructor for a fun, informative, and invigorating shoot in Chinatown.
Chinatown is steeped with culture and history, and unfortunately is often overlooked. You will photograph extraordinary architecture, intricate statues, vibrant colors, and rapid exchanges between shopkeepers and their customers.
During the shoot, you will learn new compositional techniques such as how to capture the wide angles of pagodas, the tiny details of urban artwork, and the ways to approach strangers for photographs.
We will meet at 947 N. Broadway at the Central Plaza in front of the Statue of Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the founder of the Republic of China. Please bring your DSLR or another type of camera that you use, a fully-charged battery, and the equipment that you can carry. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a bottle of water.
Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number. It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering. If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at [email protected] or [email protected].
