Covid is a global issue and varies, city by city, even day by day, here across North America, but we want you to know that you can enroll in workshops, currently posted through the first few months of 2021 and updated into the year 2021 on a monthly basis. (Founded in 2006, this format of updating new group workshop locales, times and dates have always been handled in this same manner. Should you require a private workshop, our professional photographers who lead group sessions in the community where they live, can accommodate PRIVATE WORKSHOPS on any photo topic and meet up with you and your guests on any day of the week that suits your schedule and locale selected within our active communities.) We can conform to your priorities.
As any workshop you select approaches, please know that we will adhere to the Covid social distancing directives relevant to your local community at that time, as they apply to the coronavirus, allowing you to receive a total refund or the chance to reschedule with no penalty fee no matter how long you require to make your rescheduling decisions. Please contact us toll free, 1 877 372 2231 or email us at DPABooking@DigitalPhotoAcad
IF WORKSHOP DOES RUN, MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING CONFORMS TO LOCAL DIRECTIVES
Any photography workshop participant will find all of their dream photo subject matters in Toronto, the capital city of the Canadian province of Ontario which is also the most populous city in Canada and the 4th most populous city in North America.
Your Digital Photo Academy instructor lives in the community and, as an accomplished photographer and experienced photo instructor, will demonstrate and supervise photo lessons for many photo composition strategies, as he or she meets with you in a variety of Toronto locales each month. Options for Mastering Camera Controls for any camera or cell phone made by any manufacturer.
These options are the case whether the private or group lesson meets at scenic landscapes of urban and remote park settings, wildlife of charming watersides, striking architectural perspectives, lively street scenes and romantic captures of historic churches and other buildings, inside and outside.
Meander in a live workshop as you pass a wonderful painted wall mural in Chinatown, a tranquil landscape in High Park, the dynamic skyline centered along the CN Tower, macro shots of the interior of Allan Gardens, dynamic street portraits of the Evergreen Brick Works or inspirational natural light streaming in from the stained glass windows of the St. James Cathedral. Toronto has it all.

“Attached are some of my photos. I am heading out on a 6 week solo trip through Southeast Asia and I feel much better prepared for using my camera more effectively now. I was always fine with finding angles I like, but I really enjoyed getting to know more about the different functions on the camera. Thanks for the lessons!”

“First, let me tell you how much I enjoyed our workshop last Sunday. I learned a lot and left hungry to learn more. That’s a great combination!
You have a wonderful ability to circulate amongst your students, (and we were a large group of 12) and both critique and praise. You kept theory to a minimum but gave sufficient direction for us to practise different techniques in the class. I found that I could hear your words when I reviewed the 172 pictures that I returned home with. I was able to see which were bad, and which made me quite proud. Thank you for that!
On another note, if you are able to make this possible I think that the models might like to see the portraits that were taken. Some, I think were exceptional. I know that I personally would very much like to see them. You may certainly give out my e-mail to anyone. (as belonging to the older lady with the blue hat 🙂 )
I am sending you 5 of my favourites in this e-mail and will attach the next 5 in a second e-mail. (Not sure how many g-mail can transport at one time. Do let me know if this works.
Once again, thank you for a great workshop!!”

“Hi Sanja,
Amanda Gibbs here. Thanks so much for the course this past Saturday, I learned a ton about proper composition, where/how to crop properly, and how to capture the same image from different angles. I’ve also attached my favourite photos from the day, hope you like them!”

“Hi Sanja,
Thank you for a very enjoyable class. I look forward to more photo classes with you in the future and I will invite some friends next time. Here are some of my favorite photos we took last week.”
-Paul
“Sanja was a wonderful teacher – she was patient and very encouraging and put me at ease so I felt comfortable and confident using my camera and experimenting with different subjects, angles and settings. She explained everything simply and clearly, and stuck with me until I got the concept. She showed me both how to use the camera settings for different purposes using practical exercises, as well as how to tell a story with the right shot. Over our three hours she was creative in finding lots of interesting subjects with different technical challenges. I started out with very little DSLR experience and was taking great shots by the end of the afternoon. Also had a lot of fun! Would recommend.”
-Anne Fleming
” Thanks we are very happy that we did attend the training and was blessed to have an instructor like Taku who had so much patience with us and we learnt so much in the time we had. I did some photos on the website for you and everyone to see. Thanks again guys and keep the good work up.”

“Hi Richard,
The class on Saturday was awesome. It was my first ever photography class and I loved it. Thanks to Taku for being such a helpful instructor with loads of patience. When we were by the water, there was a lot of glare, so it was difficult to see what I was shooting. When I got home, I had to scrap some shots because of that.
I love how there is so much experimentation I can do now. I also look forward to taking more classes!”
-Kathy
“Hi Richard, I really enjoyed my day, I still have a lot to work on. My screen on my camera was hard to see the pictures, so needed to delete a lot after viewing them at home. Unfortunately I love the sailors picture, however disappointed that I did not see at the time that I cut part of his arm off.
Will be looking to take another class to improve.
Thank you so much”
-Michelle

“It was a great day and Taku was a really patient instructor. Gave me just the right amount of information to focus on so the day wasn’t overwhelming. If you’re new, like me, I highly recommend taking the Master Your Camera Controls class first. You’ll definitely get more out of the Composition in the Field workshop. I did, and it was the best investment I could have made!”
