William Morton
Formerly a San Diego-based photographer specializing in commercial and corporate portrait photography, William Morton relocated to Dallas several years ago. Shooting since his Junior High School yearbook days, William opened his first portrait studio in 1991. After moving to the San Diego area he established a successful studio shooting glamour & boudoir, model portfolio work and headshots. As he took on advertising photography projects William joined ASMP, serving as President of ASMP San Diego from 2005-2007 and again from 2013 to 2015. His commercial clients include Microsoft, Isagenix, Johnstone Supply, San Diego County, MCAS Miramar, and Big O Tires among many others.
Several years ago, William Morton relocated to the Dallas community where he owns and operates a state-of-the-art photo studio for portraits, commercial shoots and group lectures. His decade plus in San Diego as a professional photographer and photo instructor paved the way for Morton to hit the ground running in Dallas. He has explored dozens of photogenic locales in the area from the off-beat Deep Elum, Dallas Farmer’s Market, Nasher Sculpture Center, Calvary Hill Cemetery, Samurai Collection, White Rock Lake, the Dallas Zoo and the Dallas Arboretum/Bontanical Gardens, as well as a myriad of art districts, vintage architecture locales, urban parks and everything in between.
After serving as the Corporate Photography Manager for a photography franchise company training portrait and event photographers for five years, William now owns and operates Morton Visuals commercial, corporate and event photography. Aside from his own photography business, William teaches web and graphic design and also serves as a web design consultant.

Thank you so much for an informative afternoon. Having the instant feedback to shots was very helpful. Gave me some food for thought and areas to exercise and experiment on. Also really enjoyed flipping thru the album you posted from yesterday. Seeing the very same things but thru your eyes and lens was interesting and provided several ah-ha moments. Particularly not to be afraid of shooting what otherwise seems mundane. With the right angle and light, magic happens. I need to review my pics further and cull out one or two to post. This class was very informative and our instructor William was amazing. I purchased a camera in December and wanted an affordable, in person class to learn to take better pictures and this class was just that. I will definitely sign up for another class.

The class was very good on Saturday. William helped me and the folks in attendance learn about positioning photos, the thirds rules, leading lines, etc. he did a very effective job as I am somewhat experienced and he was able to convey his message clearly to newer folks and those of us with DSLR cameras.
