DESCRIPTION
Lenses are your photographic eyes on the world. With an interchangeable lens camera, or with a zoom lens on any digital camera, you have the opportunity to frame and compose subjects that range from very close to very far away, to expand or restrict peripheral vision, and to change point of view and visual perspective, the relationship of subjects within the frame. You can work with sophisticated auto-focus systems, or shoot manually and change focus yourself. You can make images that are sharp throughout, or choose settings to create the magical “bokeh” effect, where the background becomes a soft play of color and light.

In this exciting and richly illustrated e-book, veteran photographer and author George Schaub explores the exciting realm of lens selection and use. He delivers practical and easily applied tips that cover topics including: focal length, point of view and how to select the best lenses for the kind of images you love to create; aperture settings and depth of field effects and how to apply them for fascinating image effects; how to get the most from autofocus, and when manual focusing might come into play; using aperture priority exposure mode and depth of field preview for dynamic effects; and how to use image stabilization in low light to add to your creative and spontaneous shooting freedom.
